Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. It’s helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.

Am I eligible for this program?
In order to be eligible for Smart and Skilled training, you must be:
- 15 years old or over
- No longer at school
- Living or working in NSW
- An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
If you answered ‘yes’ to all four questions, then you may be eligible to enrol in a government-subsidised course with Kenvale as an approved Smart and Skilled training provider.
You still pay a fee, but the majority of the course fee is subsidised by the NSW government.

The Consumer Protection Strategy also outlines the rights of a student who undertakes a VET training under the Smart and Skilled Funding. It includes any measures that has been set by the government to ensure consumer protection are obliged by the training providers, as well as other processes that may assist the students receiving training under the Smart and Skilled funding.
