Are you dreaming of Down Under? We don't blame you – Australia is an attractive destination for overseas students from all over the world. Thanks to our global reputation for offering fantastic education and training in hospitality, cookery and events, it's little wonder international students are flocking to our shores to get qualified and receive paid work experience in these exciting sectors.

There are a lot of institutions offering courses in hospitality, cookery and events for international students, so why should you choose Kenvale College? Here are a few reasons:

1. We've got an outstanding industry reputation

You can't beat Kenvale College's reputation for excellence. Having been around for nearly five decades, we're Australia's oldest private hospitality college. We've been awarded with the NSW Tourism Awards for Excellence in Industry Education and our graduates are in high demand around Australia and abroad.

You'll be taught by Tourism, Hospitality and Catering Institute of Australia award-winning lecturers who know their industry inside and out and can properly equip you for a career in hospitality or events.

At Kenvale College, your teachers are award-winning industry experts.

You'll be assigned a mentor to help you settle into your studies and life in Australia.

2. You'll study in a personalised and supportive learning environment

Kenvale College is a small institution that feels very much like a family. Our low teacher-to-student ratio personalises your learning experience, as lecturers have more time to spend with each student.

As an international student here, you'll be assigned a mentor to help you settle into your studies and life in Australia. You'll also get to mingle with a diverse cohort of fellow students from places including South America, Asia, Europe and the UK. However, we know you've come to Australia to mix with the locals! You won't be disappointed – half of your fellow students will be Aussies.

Our small class sizes mean you'll study in a more personalised learning environment. Our small class sizes mean you'll study in a more personalised learning environment.

3. You'll graduate with excellent job prospects

At Kenvale College, we understand that making it in hospitality or events is about more than just raw passion for your work and a desire to succeed. It's also about being equipped with the management knowledge to prepare you for the challenges of the workforce and running a business. That's why our courses include subjects taught by industry professionals with extensive experience in key areas such as operations, supervision, workplace leadership and financial management.

Half of our students are in paid employment by the end of the first week of their course.

You'll also get to enjoy paid work experience as part of your course. All of our students benefit from the strong relationships we've fostered with industry partners, and half of our students are in paid employment by the end of the first week of their course. Our track record is that all students are in paid industry positions by the end of their first semester.

We can boast of 100 per cent graduate employment success rate but we can also claim that our international students have Australian employment while they study. This puts them ahead of other international students if they want to stay working in Australia upon graduation.

And here's a final reason you just won't be able to ignore: We're just a short stroll away from the beach! So if you're keen to get some sunshine in-between your study, you won't need to venture far.

Thank you for inviting us – we really did appreciate it. I must say I was really impressed by the Briar Ridge team – one of them (… Aiden) did a really great job explaining who they were, what they were about etc., and really took the time to give us the background on the person behind it all (Gwyn Olsen). He’d clearly immersed himself in the project, and I think she’d have been really pleased if she’d seen that. Happy to reach out and tell her so if you think it would help pave the way for future events.

I just wanted to express thanks and congratulations to all at Kenvale for the magnificent lunch provided on Thursday.

I have been to many hatted restaurants this year and can honestly say that they would have struggled to produce such fantastic dishes.

The lunch was a credit to your students and your staff.  It would be a privilege to enjoy another visit next year.

Best wishes to your graduating students for success in their career and to your staff to continue to guide students to reach such a high standard.
