Are you ready for a great Kenvale College experience?

“Knowledge is not skill. Knowledge plus ten thousand times is skill.”

This quote by legendary Japanese musician and philosopher Shinichi Suzuki sums up Kenvale College and its values succinctly. We see students at all stages of their careers, whether straight out of school or looking for a change – and most fall into the category of having a passion and knowledge for a certain career path.

Of course, to make a real mark in the world, this enthusiasm must be complemented with key industry insight and skill building practices. With more than 50 years’ experience in the hospitality and events industry, we believe that the combination of experience and knowledge leads to desirable skills – helping students reach their peak.

Paid industry employment

As mentioned above, a core part of our courses involves paid industry employment where students get to test and advance their skills in a real-world environment. Over the years, we have been fortunate to develop many outstanding industry contacts across hotel groups, restaurants and sporting venues including Curzon Hall, the SCG and Sokyo.

At the end of our students’ time at Kenvale College, many will receive full-time employment from these businesses – highlighting the value that Kenvale students hold in the market.

Personalised mentoring

No matter our age, experience or history, mentors provide the chance to discuss goals, thoughts and ideas. This is never a bad thing and can help shape how students perceive their progress and overall career direction. As a genuine, person-centered learning institute, our mentors aim to know every student on a personal level and support them to reach their peak.

Higher education can sometimes feel like an individual process, however, at Kenvale College, we are a family – everyone is on the same page and invested in each other’s achievement.

Boutique learning experience

When you decide on where to study, you want to choose somewhere that gives you the best chance to meet your career goal. Across our hospitality, cooking and event management courses, our unique approach to learning means students can focus on their studies and paid industry employment in a supportive environment.

With industry professionals offering years of experience in their chosen field and small class sizes, every student has the opportunity to plot their own course.

Thank you for inviting us – we really did appreciate it. I must say I was really impressed by the Briar Ridge team – one of them (… Aiden) did a really great job explaining who they were, what they were about etc., and really took the time to give us the background on the person behind it all (Gwyn Olsen). He’d clearly immersed himself in the project, and I think she’d have been really pleased if she’d seen that. Happy to reach out and tell her so if you think it would help pave the way for future events.

I just wanted to express thanks and congratulations to all at Kenvale for the magnificent lunch provided on Thursday.

I have been to many hatted restaurants this year and can honestly say that they would have struggled to produce such fantastic dishes.

The lunch was a credit to your students and your staff.  It would be a privilege to enjoy another visit next year.

Best wishes to your graduating students for success in their career and to your staff to continue to guide students to reach such a high standard.
