Why Do I Need A Unique Student Identifier?

Since 1st January 2015, all students undertaking a Nationally Recognised Training course are required to obtain a Unique Student Identifier (also known as USI).

The USI system serves as a database that collects the history of any Vocational Education and Training (VET) training you have undertaken after 1st January 2015, where training organisations are required to report about your training.

A USI is required to complete your enrolment at Kenvale College.

How do I obtain a USI?

It’s simple and free to create your USI. Before you get started, make sure you prepare a form of identification, for example:

  • Current Driver’s License
  • Medicare Card
  • Immicard
  • Australian Passport
  • Non-Australian Passport with Australian Visa (for International Student)

You are able to access your USI account online anytime from your smartphone, tablet or computer. If you would like to understand more about USI, here is a video created by The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science explaining USI.
